Beyond the Feed: The Platform Building Lasting Creator Communities — Founder Highlights Vol. 01

Supermoon's Founder Highlights January 2026 edition reaches its midpoint with a startup rethinking what social platforms should have been all along — less feed, more gathering place.

Playground — Build Your Dream Community

Social platforms are burning creators out. Algorithm-driven feeds reward volume over depth, and when an IRL moment ends — a concert, a launch, a drop — there's no infrastructure to carry that energy forward. The community dissolves as quickly as it formed.

Jia Ling and her team at Playground are building the gathering place that comes after the feed. Playground is a community engagement platform for creators, fans, and brands to form real communities around cultural moments — events, launches, merch, and shared experiences. Rather than chasing engagement metrics, it gives communities the tools to persist, coordinate, and grow over time. After years in development, the platform is now live and fully in activation mode, with its founding creator cohort assembled and partnerships moving across music, culture, and events.

As Jia puts it: "Culture doesn't live in feeds — it lives in moments. We're building the infrastructure that lets those moments become something people can belong to."

Playground is looking for strategic investors, cultural and event partners, and pilot activations with creators and brands.
